A Gallant hard charges through White's wintry world
And quick contemplates his full faith in our Christ.
This lifetime of warfare with flags all unfurled
Soon ends as he offers supreme sacrifice.
With thoughts of his savior, that bold ebon pearl,
He wonders if glory is bought at such price.
